One Message – One Name
The ministry of Len Lindstrom is all about one unchanging eternal message — the all loving, compassionate powerful Risen Lord Jesus Christ — the One who so loved us all that He died in our place for our sins, paid the price of our redemption and then rose from the dead in power!
This marvellous message of God’s love, mercy and grace never changes regardless of culture, colour, race, religion or philosophical background. The message remains the same whether it is preached in the world’s most advanced cities or the most remote forgotten regions of the earth — people need to be saved and the Bible clearly states, “There is NO OTHER NAME given under heaven whereby we may be saved than the NAME OF JESUS CHRIST.” Acts 4:12
All People, All Cultures and All Faiths
The Gospel is presented without comprise to all in an attitude of love, acceptance and friendship regardless of race, creed or religion. The message of Christ and His universal love for all mankind is shared in a way that can be easily understood cross-culturally and in spite of religious background.
The universal call and compassion to all humanity is summed up in the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, “For GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
That includes all people — bar none — and all must hear this blessed message of God’s Love!
The Value of Every Human Soul
The driving force of Len Lindstrom’s ministry has been an acute awareness of the incredible value of each and every eternal human soul – as Jesus said, “…what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul; or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” Mark 8:36-37
In the mind and economy of God, nothing is of greater value than an eternal soul and the greatest miracle in the world is salvation — to be born again by personally accepting the Spirit of the Living God into our hearts — and the promise of God is that “…whosoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
But as Paul stated, “How shall they call on Him whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent?” Romans 10:14-15
Reach the Unreached
The call of God is to reach the unreached — so Len preaches anywhere the door is open all across Canada and the western world but the primary focus of his ministry is centred on those regions of the world where the Gospel is most needed – where all or at least the majority of people have never had the opportunity to hear the true Gospel or to even hear the Name of Jesus — as the Apostle Paul stated, “…so have I strived to preach the gospel, NOT WHERE CHRIST WAS NAMED, lest I should build upon another man’s foundation.” Romans 15:20
As the renowned missionary Oswald J. Smith said, “Why should anyone hear the Gospel twice before everyone has heard it once.” And how can we, who have been so blessed with the untold riches of Christ, keep this Good News to ourselves? We cannot turn a deaf ear to the eternal plight of those who have never had the opportunity to hear of Jesus. Our responsibility is to fulfill the Great Commission given to us by Jesus Christ Himself, and to take His blessed life-changing Gospel to every person on planet earth.
Full Gospel Proclamation
Len Lindstrom’s preaching is centred on Jesus Christ, the Cross, the Resurrection of our Lord, and the message of God’s Love, Mercy and Grace to all people through the power, presence and manifestation of the Holy Spirit – “For I am not ashamed of the GOSPEL OF CHRIST, for IT IS THE POWER OF GOD unto salvation to everyone that believes.” Romans 1:16
As the Apostle Paul stated, “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:4-5
Miraculous Witness
The preaching of God’s Word is confirmed by powerful testimonies of amazing miracles of healing which not only serve to alleviate the pains and suffering of many afflicted but also serve to strengthen the faith of believers and miracles have a profoundly positive impact on unbelievers which prove the reality of the Living God, the power of the Resurrection of Christ and the truth of the Gospel – “…that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:5
“Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and forever.” Hebrews 13:8 “I AM the Lord, I do not change!” Malachi 3:6 “I AM Jehovah Rapha — the Lord who heals you!” If God healed the sick in the OT, during the earthly ministry of Christ and in the early Church, how can we preach a Gospel that the states the Great Physician of the heart and soul and body has changed today! As Jesus stated in His Last Great Command, “This Gospel shall be preached in all the world as a WITNESS — WITH DEMONSTRABLE MIRACULOUS WITNESS THAT HE IS TRULY ALIVE!
Reaching Political Leaders
During Len’s campaigns and healing festivals meetings are often held with leaders of the community and nation which have included mayors, governors, ambassadors, legislators, prime ministers, presidents, kings and military leaders, which helps to intensify the impact of the Gospel in the region – as such leaders are very influential in the ongoing and future treatment of Christian believers and the nation’s or region’s openness to the Gospel — and many of them have prayed with Len for peace and healing on their nation and on numerous occasions prayed to accept Jesus Christ as their own Lord and Saviour as they have warmly welcomed him to continue spreading the love and power of the Living God. As the scripture states, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.” Proverbs 29:2
Rulers, leaders and politicians need Christ and his compassion and wisdom to rule just as much as any other — and as King Agrippa responded to the persuasive power of Paul’s fearless witness, “In a short time you will persuade me to become a Christian.” Acts 26:28
Literature Distribution
Bibles and good Gospel literature are vital to Christian growth and maturity so in many of his campaigns, particularly those amongst newly opened nations where the Bible was previously banned and forbidden such as in the former Soviet Bloc countries, the ministry of Len Lindstrom has provided massive amounts of literature to the hungry masses who committed their lives to Christ — and the same has been done in numerous other previously unreached regions of the world.
The freshly born again believers need to be fed — “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.” 1 Peter 2:2 — for as Jesus said, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4 Transported across continents by everything from ships, to hydro boats, planes to buses, Len’s ministry has distributed hundreds of thousands of Bibles to the hungry masses and also printed and distributed almost one million copies of his book Your New Life to help provide a solid introduction of the Christian faith during many of his campaigns — and he continues to do so when possible, subject to the heart and generosity of ministry supporters.
Follow Up and Church Planting
Over 500 churches have already been planted as a direct result of Len’s campaigns around the world — and thousands of other churches have experienced dramatic increase — sometimes up to 10 times as many in attendance immediately after a campaign.
The Gospel of Power ignites the human heart with the reality of the Living Christ and His immense love for humanity but follow up is essential to maintain and nurture the fruit won in a campaign — as the Apostle Paul stated, “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.” 1 Corinthians 3:6
Jesus said, “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that YOUR FRUIT SHOULD REMAIN…” John 15:16 — The best way for fruit to truly remain and flourish in the faith is to establish churches, help develop spiritual leaders and assist in church planting when possible — which is also why whole hearted involvement of the local churches and pastors is so imperative to successful evangelism. Just one small example — in one of our most recent Philippines campaigns 12 local churches were started directly out of the campaign — such makes for powerful retention and growth to the Body of Christ!
The Joy of the Lord
There is perhaps no word that can better describe the general feeling and excitement associated with Len’s preaching style than the word “Joy” — the JOY OF THE LORD! Much the same as the biblical account of Phillip the Evangelist when he preached Christ to the people of Samaria and they gave heed to the Word preached which resulted in mighty miracles and the abiding reality of God’s Holy Spirit which concluded with the statement — “and there was great joy in that city!” Acts 8:8
The Joy of the Lord is a natural result and product of the true Gospel being preached in power as souls are saved, deliverances take place, healings explode across the grounds and multitudes are born again — “drinking water from the wells of salvation with JOY” Isaiah 12:3 and the tangible reality of God’s wonderful promise,“The JOY OF THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH”
And the The Joy of Ministering Together as Family & Friends
There are many sacrifices involved in ministry to the nations of which the greatest is to be away from family so often — but what a privilege for Len on those occasions when family members could come and participate in God impacting the nations as they witnessed and took part in the reality and dynamism of the Living God — as experienced on numerous trips when Len and Julie’s children Sheri and Michael and later their grandson Brandon could travel, minister and see the Living God in action touching lives, delivering the oppressed and performing dramatic jaw-dropping miracles as Christ’s divine love and grace impacted every kind of culture and setting!
There is simply no better education in the things of God and the universal need for Christ to be found anywhere than to be there in person as Jesus reveals Himself alive and well to the masses — and the glorious impact these campaigns have on the people which has served to solidify the knowledge and understanding in their hearts for why we do what we do — and why we must continue to go — for it is all about eternity and the immense value God has placed on each and every human soul whom we are called to reach for their sake and the cause of our once-crucified and now risen Christ!
